HighLight 2017 a double finalist in events awards

The New Zealand Events Association has just announced the first-ever HighLight: Carnival of Lights 2017 as a finalist in two categories for this year’s NZEA Event Awards.

The Awards’ 2018 Judging Panel is independent of the NZEA and possesses a wealth of experience across the arts, sports, sponsorship and business sectors of New Zealand collectively. HighLight is a finalist in the categories of Best Community Event and Best Local Government Event.

HighLight Carnival Director Carla Steed says, “It’s great to see HighLight acknowledged not just by our wonderful community, but from event industry professionals as well. These nominations are for last year’s carnival, and the reaction to this year’s was even more positive than our first, so I think that shows that HighLight is well on its way to being one of the region’s must-see events.”

Last year’s carnival was also a finalist in the Wellington Gold Awards.
