Creative Communities Lower Hutt is offering young people in our community the opportunity to join the assessment committee and be at the heart of the success of the Creative Communities scheme.

The Creative Communities Assessment Committee allocates funding twice yearly to arts projects that fit their criteria. The funds they award come through a partnership between Council and Creative New Zealand.

We’re looking for young people between 18 – 25 years old who are involved in the arts in Lower Hutt and have one or more of the following qualities:

  • Knowledge of the arts environment in Lower Hutt (this may be specific to a single art form or multi-art form)
  • Strong links into one or more of the diverse communities in the city, including young people (under 18 years)
  • An understanding of arts participation and arts development.

This role is voluntary.

To apply, please send an email to outlining the areas of expertise and skill that you could contribute to the committee.  Please also attach a short CV.
