Sound Bites returns this summer to Lower Hutt on Andrews Avenue in the Southend of High Street. And, new this year to The Dowse Square. This annual summer activity has been renamed to Sound Bites² to highlight the second location – The Dowse Square.
Sound Bites² features local musicians performing at:
- Andrews Avenue at lunchtime – so grab lunch from your fave café or bring your lunch along and enjoy some great local music
- The Dowse Square for your Friday after work entertainment – a great way to enjoy the end of the work week

12 February Week Two and 12 March Week Four – we welcome back again this year, Ainslie Allen
Ainslie Allen is a winner of NZ Country Music Entertainer of Year 2018. Ainslie’s new Single ‘My Mum’ has debuted at #2 on the OZ Country Charts, and won Song of the Week. Recently Graduated from CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth, Ainslie is regarded as having a contralto vocal range. With guitar in hand be sure to catch Ainslie’s set with a mix of cool country and hits of today.

Aaron has orchestrated a great line up for the 2021 Sound Bites² lunch time music at Andrews Avenue.
Aaron is a professional musician, entertaining crowds around New Zealand and abroad. He has performed for the All Blacks, the Hurricanes and regularly plays for the Phoenix soccer team at after match functions! His one man band style delivers tasty vocals, soulful guitar licks and great grooves. Covering tunes ranging from Bruno Mars to Fleetwood Mac there’s bound to be something for all to enjoy.

Carl is a versatile live-entertainer with a vast song-list and experience including performances at weddings, corporate functions, bars and private events. He can perform a high-energy show right through to finger-picked tunes for that more intimate occasion. Carl’s band ‘Uncle Monkey’ enjoys radio & video success with their songs and he wrote the ‘Phoenix’ football team supporter’s club anthem.
