Internationally-recognised expert on the future of work and the future of learning comes to Lower Hutt

In 2019, Hutt City Council’s annual Festival to promote science, technology, engineering, maths and manufacturing (STEMM) is focusing on future technologies and how they will change the way we all live in Lower Hutt.

One of the major changes coming is in the future of work, as automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and digital printing converge to create new jobs, and eliminate others. As a lead up to the Festival, we are running a speaker series focused on helping you prepare for the future of work.

On Tuesday 27 November, our first speaker, Gary Bolles, an internationally renowned career expert and author of What Colour is Your Parachute will kick the series off with a talk at The Settlement at 6:00pm.

This series is part of Hutt City Council’s mission to showcase the cutting-edge innovation, science, engineering and technology taking place in Lower Hutt. Growing these key drivers of economic and social development is a key priority for the Council, to create prosperity and well-being for our whole community.

The event will be held at The Settlement 4 Jackson Street Petone.
