Ford in Lower Hutt

Hutt City Council announces pop-up exhibition on Assembling the Ford Story and Te Wā Heke speaker series

The Ford factory in Seaview is an iconic symbol of the history of motor vehicle production in Lower Hutt. This month we are celebrating Ford’s contribution to our community at a pop-up exhibition which will feature three vintage Ford cars.

Assembling the Ford Story will be open from Wednesday 22 May to Friday 31 May and will be situated on the corner of Andrews Avenue and High Street Lower Hutt. The exhibition will be open from 10am until 4pm.

As well as reflecting on the incredible contribution of Ford in our community, Hutt City Council will explore Ford’s City of Tomorrow at Te Wā Heke where a futuristic transportation operating system shaped by total multi-modal mobility will be on show for all to experience. Join us in remembering the past and shaping the future of transport.
