We’re launching a new Beach Access Mat

To celebrate the ‘International Day of People with Disabilities’, we’re launching a new access mat on Days Bay Beach.

Join us on Tuesday 3 December for a BBQ at the beach and to try out the new access mat – there will be an official opening ceremony at 12pm.

We’re excited to launch and trial the access mat this summer at Days Bay Beach. The roll-out mat is temporary, portable and made from 100% recycled materials that provides a firm, safe, cool and stable surface for users. This sturdy and visible path can improve access on the beach to support people with disabilities or mobility challenges who generally cannot get on to the beach or struggle to move across the sand safely. The mat can accommodate a wide range of users, including people with mobility and visual impairments, the elderly, those using wheelchairs, mobility scooters or strollers and other groups with special access needs.

For more information, please contact us on 04 570 6666 – we look forward to seeing you there!
